Indian state awards Adani Power contract for 800 MW coal plant

Sept 11 (Reuters) – India’s Adani Power said on Thursday it bagged an order to set up an 800 megawatt (MW) coal power plant from the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
The development comes weeks after the MP Power Management Company awarded another contract for 800 MW to Adani Power.
With this, the total orders awarded by the state to Adani Power stands at 1600 MW, cumulatively amounting to 210 billion rupees ($2.38 billion), the Adani Group company said on Thursday.
