Heavy Rain Alert Issued Across 16 States; Delhi Among Areas Being Watched

The India Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across several states. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are among the regions being monitored. Gusty winds of up to around 60 kmph are also possible in some areas. Authorities have warned about possible waterlogging, lightning and disruption to transport.
