May 26 (Reuters) – Goldman Sachs on Tuesday raised its year-end 2026 target for the S&P 500 index to 8,000, up from 7,600, citing stronger earnings expectations following an exceptionally robust first-quarter reporting season.
The brokerage said continued earnings growth should support further upside for equities.
