Royal Caribbean is reportedly in talks to buy a 50% stake in Sandals Resorts for about $3 billion, valuing the 12-property all-inclusive operator at roughly $6 billion. This would take a major cruise company into land-based resorts. That makes sense given how strongly the all-inclusive model appeals to Caribbean holidaymakers.
