Shri HD Kumaraswamy, Union Minister for Steel & Heavy Industries and Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries visit Visakhapatnam steel plant.
In their visit to RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam steel plant, Shri HD Kumaraswamy, Union Minister for Steel & Heavy Industries accompanied by Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries expressed confidence that RINL workforce has got the potential to bounce back and march towards profitability.

Of India, Dr. Sanjay Roy, Jt. Secy, Ministry of Steel, Shri Y Satya Kumar Yadav, Minister for Health, Family welfare & Medical Education, Govt. of AP, Shri Vishnukumar raju, MLA-North, vizag, Former MP(Rajya Sabha) Shri GVL Narasimha rao, Shri AK Saxena, CMD(additional charge), RINL, Shri K Appalanaidu, MP, Vijanayanagaram, Dr SC Pandey, Director (Personnel), Shri Ch SRVGK Ganesh, Director (Finance), Shri GVN Prasad, Director(Commercial), Dr. S. Karuna Raju, IAS, Chief Vigilance Officer, RINL inaugurated Resurgence Park at Blast Furnace -2 area.
Later, addressing the RINL collective at Tenetti Viswanadham auditorium of RINL, Shri HD Kumaraswamy congratulated the RINL for their struggle, hard work and commitment towards achieving steady progress in the last 3 months on the production front. Shri HD Kumaraswamy thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his great concern and help towards reviving the RINL by sanctioning Rs. 11,440 crores package which is unheard of in the Indian steel industry.
Shri HD Kumaraswamy also thanked his cabinet colleague Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Shri Nara Chandra babu naidu, CM of AP, Shri M. Sribharat, MP, Visakhapatnam, Shri CM Ramesh, MP, Visakhapatnam and Shri Palla Srinivasa rao, gazuwaka MLA and other peoples representatives for their constant efforts in seeking the help of the steel ministry and the Government of India for the revival of RINL.
Shri HD Kumaraswamy said that he offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy this morning at Tirumala to give the required strength to the workforce of RINL and also to him in taking RINL to greater heights of excellence and efficiency. “Strength is within you and with your hard work, I would like to bring this plant (RINL) to number one position in the country” said Sri HD Kumaraswamy amidst thunderous applause. He expressed confidence that RINL will play a major role towards achieving the 300 million tons production target as part of Viksit Bharat-Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
In his address, Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Minister of state for steel and heavy industries, Govt of India profusely thanked the Union Minister Shri HD Kumaraswamy and Prime Minister of India for their concern in reviving RINL. Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma urged all the employees to put in much hard work to regain the past glory.
Shri AK Saxena, CMD (additional charge), RINL, in his welcome address, profusely thanked Shri HD Kumaraswamy, Union Minister for Steel & Heavy Industries and Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries and CM of Andhra Pradesh, MLAs and MPs for their great support towards the revival of RINL
Later, Union Ministers Shri HD Kumaraswamy and Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma along interacted with the representatives of various trade unions, SC/ST associations, OBC association, WIPS, Steel Executive association in the conference hall of management development centre, Ukkunagaram of Visakhapatnam steel plant.
