India is in the advanced stages of framing a policy for processing critical minerals and has shortlisted two such minerals critical for electric vehicles, mines secretary Piyush Goyal said on Friday.
Reuters in January had reported that India was planning to roll out incentives for companies to set up lithium and nickel processing plants, aiming to reduce reliance on imports and build local refining capacity.
