Germany to provide further $23.6 million in aid to Sudan this year

BERLIN, April 15 (Reuters) – Germany will provide an additional ​20 million euros ($23.58 million) ‌to Sudan this year, with further funding ​commitments currently under ​review, the development ministry in ⁠Berlin said in ​a statement on Wednesday.
At ​the end of 2025, the ministry had provided 155.4 ​million euros for ​projects in Sudan and in ‌neighbouring ⁠countries affected by the war in Sudan, which it would expand ​this year ​by ⁠20 million euros, it said ​ahead of an ​international ⁠aid conference on Sudan in the German ⁠capital ​later on Wednesday.
