French preliminary inflation at 2% in June, below estimates

June 30 (Reuters) – French consumer prices rose ​less than ‌expected in June, preliminary data ​from statistics ​agency INSEE showed ⁠on Tuesday.
France’s ​harmonized inflation rate, ​adjusted for comparison with other euro ​zone ​countries, was 2% year-on-year in ‌June.
A ⁠Reuters poll of 17 analysts had on ​average ​expected ⁠a rate of ​2.3%, with ​estimates ⁠ranging from 2.2% to ⁠2.8%.
