India gets $386 bln financial commitment to expand renewable capacity

BENGALURU, Sept 16 (Reuters) – India has received a commitment of $386 billion from banks and financial institutions to expand the country’s renewable capacity by 2030, Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi said on Monday.
“We received overwhelming commitments from states and Union Territories as well as from the developers, manufacturers and financial institutes to support our goal of 500 GW by 2030”, said Joshi.
