North Korea says hostile US policy unchanged, nuclear arms to keep growing

SEOUL, Aug 31 (Reuters) – North Korea said ​on Monday the ‌United States’ hostile policy remained unchanged ​and said ​its nuclear weapons ⁠were an absolute ​guarantee of ​sovereignty that would continue to be strengthened.A ​statement from ​its Foreign Ministry carried ‌by ⁠state media KCNA also said expecting any easing ​of ​regional ⁠tensions was “meaningless” and that ​North Korea’s ​policy ⁠toward the United States had ⁠not ​changed at ​all.
