UK house prices fell by 0.6% in May, Nationwide says

LONDON, June 1 (Reuters) – British house ​prices fell ‌0.6% in May, leaving them ​1.7% ​higher than a ⁠year earlier, ​monthly figures ​from mortgage lender Nationwide Building Society ​showed ​on Monday.
Economists polled by ‌Reuters ⁠had forecast a median 0.2% drop ​for ​May ⁠alone and ​a year-on-year ​increase ⁠of 2.2% for the ⁠month.
