April 28 (Reuters) – French industrial gases group Air Liquide on Tuesday reported slightly lower than expected revenue for the first quarter.
The company, which supplies gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen to factories and hospitals, said its revenue rose to 6.79 billion euros ($7.95 billion) in the quarter, excluding the impact of unfavourable currency movements and higher energy costs.
Analysts polled by Vara Research were expecting sales of 6.83 billion euros on average.
