Air Liquide posts slight Q1 revenue miss

April 28 (Reuters) – French industrial gases group ​Air Liquide on ‌Tuesday reported slightly lower than expected revenue for the ​first quarter.
The ​company, which supplies gases ⁠such as ​oxygen, nitrogen and ​hydrogen to factories and hospitals, said its revenue rose to ​6.79 billion ​euros ($7.95 billion) in the ‌quarter, ⁠excluding the impact of unfavourable currency movements and ​higher ​energy ⁠costs.
Analysts polled by Vara ​Research were expecting ​sales ⁠of 6.83 billion euros on ⁠average.
