NEW DELHI, Feb 26 (Reuters) – U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and India’s Trade Minister Piyush Goyal met over lunch in the Indian capital New Delhi on Thursday, Washington’s envoy to India said in a post on X.
“A highly productive lunch … so many areas of cooperation for our two nations!”, ambassador Sergio Gor said in the post, with a picture of himself with Lutnick and Goyal.
Goyal said earlier this week that the two countries would resume trade talks once there was more clarity, after President Donald Trump’s tariffs were invalidated by the U.S. Supreme Court.
