MUMBAI, April 9 (Reuters) – The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) cut its key repo rate on Wednesday for a second consecutive time and changed its monetary policy stance to “accommodative” from “neutral” to boost the sluggish economy, but kept the cash reserve ratio (CRR), which banks are required to hold, unchanged.
The monetary policy committee unanimously cut the key lending rate, or repo rate, to 6.00%, while also slashing the standing deposit facility rate to 5.75%.
The RBI also adjusted the marginal standing facility to 6.25%.
